The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation has contributed a $50,000 grant to the After-School All-Stars Hawaii chapter. The grant will be used to support comprehensive after-school programs to at-risk youth at Dole and Kalakaua Middle Schools in Kalihi, King Intermediate in Kaneohe, Jarrett Middle School in Palolo and Washington Middle School in Honolulu.
After-School All-Stars Hawaii is a non-profit organization that provides free, quality comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and in life. Founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1990, the programs have been designed to prepare middle school youth for high school, college, and the 21st century by offering academic support, enrichment opportunities and health/fitness activities. After-School All-Stars serves 70,000 youth annually through after school and summer programs in 13 chapters across the country.
