On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, the Country Inn Restaurant at Helemano Plantation will offer a special Thanksgiving lunch menu in addition to its renowned oxtail soup and daily lunch buffet.
At just $12 per person, the Thanksgiving menu is an enticing bargain for those who plan to venture out on a family circle-island drive this holiday but still crave all the traditional fixings. The menu will include Thanksgiving staples such as turkey, mashed potato with gravy, bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet corn kernels and pumpkin pie, along with a cold beverage.
On any day, the Country Inn Restaurant provides an ideal one-stop, lunch-and-shop detour for those making their way to Oahu’s North Shore. Located next to Dole Plantation, the restaurant is home to some of the best oxtail soup this side of Barstow. Priced at just $7.95 for a healthy serving, the soup includes a broth made with fresh vegetables right from the Helemano farm.
The daily lunch buffet is among Oahu’s top local buffets for its price, offering international flavor with a touch of local cuisine. Priced at $8.50 per person, buffet selections include kalua pork with cabbage, char siu, chicken katsu, chicken curry, meatloaf, spring rolls, beef with broccoli, sweet and sour pork, mushu vegetables with steamed bun, stir fry vegetables, Island-style shoyu chicken, and more. Guests may finish their meal with fresh fruit and ice cream for dessert.
The restaurant is surrounded by retail shops offering bargains on items ranging from T-shirts, to handcrafted keepsakes, to Helemano-grown coffee.
