Hawaiian Extends Seasonal Los Angeles-Maui Flights Through October

Honolulu, HI
Thursday, May 3, 2012

Six weeks before its summer flights between Los Angeles and Maui begin, Hawaiian Airlines today announced it is extending the seasonal service for an additional two months through October.

Peter Ingram, Hawaiian’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, commented, “We’ve seen tremendous demand for our nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Maui, and the strength of bookings through the end of summer has prompted us to extend the service into the fall.”

Hawaiian had previously announced that its special Los Angeles-Maui summer service would operate daily from June 21 through August 19.

From August 21 through October 31, Hawaiian Flight #33 will depart Los Angeles International Airport three days weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 9:40 a.m. and arrive at Maui’s Kahului Airport at 12:15 p.m. The return Flight #34 will depart Maui three days weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 2:55 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 11:15 p.m.

Nearly 8,000 new air seats are being added to Maui during the extended travel period from the state’s #1 visitor market in North America.

Travelers have the option of making connections to Oahu, Kauai, or Hawaii Island, as a result of the increase in flights and improved travel accessibility between the islands that Hawaiian is providing with its new Maui hub.

They can also book their airfare as part of the Hawaiian Airlines Vacation packages offered online (www.HawaiianAirlines.com/Vacation-Packages) and take advantage of various cost-saving options for hotel accommodations and car rentals on Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and Hawaii Island.

Hawaiian will operate the Los Angeles-Maui flights using its wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767- 300 aircraft seating up to 264 passengers, with 18 seats in First Class and the remainder in Economy Class.

Travelers will enjoy Hawaiian’s distinctive “Hawaii Flies With Us” onboard service program showcasing the culture, natural beauty, people, and Aloha Spirit of Hawaii throughout their flight. In addition, Hawaiian is the only carrier serving Hawaii to offer complimentary meals in Economy Class, and also the only carrier using roomy wide-body, twin-aisle aircraft for all of its transpacific flights.

Tickets can be purchased online at Hawaiian’s website, www.HawaiianAirlines.com or by calling the reservations department toll-free at (800) 367-5320.
