Waikīkī – Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center merchants L’Occitane en Provence, Faces Studio and Salon and Key of Life provide products to enhance your inner and outer beauty. Much like the revitalization that is taking place at the Center, customers can purchase items to help transform from the inside out.
“The transformation taking place here at Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center is to enhance our shoppers’ experience by making it more inviting on the outside so they want to come in and find really great stores and products on the inside,“ said Marleen Akau, general manager of Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. “Also, through the upgrades in architectural and landscaping elements, we are creating a truly world-class shopping destination in the heart of Waikīkī.”
L’Occitane en Provence, located in the retail arcade atrium on the ground floor of Building B, offers luxurious French skincare, bodycare and fragrance items. The 1,132 sq. ft. boutique resembles a French marketplace. Shades of goldenrod and lavender – the colors of Provence – illuminate the store and give the boutique a warm, tranquil atmosphere. Similar to buildings in Southern France, the slate lined countertops and tabletops feature the company’s wide array of products for all your beauty needs. L’Occitane en Provence helps you to recreate the ambience and traditions of Provence by offering beauty, skincare, and fragrance products for men, women and the home. Items range from $10 for a tube of L’Occitane’s popular Shea Butter Mini Hand Cream to $74 for a jar of Immortelle Very Precious Cream.
A merchant of Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center for 18 years, Faces Studio and Salon opened its newly renovated location on the second level of Building A. The 1,400 sq. ft. salon and photography studio provides a place for both visitors and kama‘āina to create memories to last a lifetime. The newly renovated studio features a variety of products to help guests to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. The new space includes six new hair / make-up stations, five pedicure chairs, three manicure tables and a facial room. For those who want to add a Hawaiian touch to their photos, Faces Studio and Salon offers Hawaiian-themed portraits for weddings, graduations and other special occasions.
Key of Life, a 1,200 sq. ft. health and nutrition store, opened its location earlier this year on the second level of Building A. The space is detailed with bright displays and warm wood accents highlighting the store’s various products and merchandise. Products range in price from $7 for Hawaiian medicinal supplements to $350 for a germanium metal bracelet or necklace. These fashionable and healing items are believed to help their owner relieve pain in 20 minutes. One of the most interesting products available is the Agaricus mushroom from Brazil, which has become extremely popular in Japan because it is believed to prevent cancer. These mushrooms cannot be found anywhere else in Hawai‘i and come in many different forms for every palate.
Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, the premier shopping destination in Waikīkī, consists of more than 310,000 square feet along a three-block stretch of Waikīkī’s famed Kalākaua Avenue. The unique four-level Center is undergoing a major multi-million dollar renovation that will transform the dynamics of Waikīkī by offering visitors and kama‘āina the largest public gathering space for entertainment and culture. The makeover will restore a Hawaiian sense of place to the physical and operational environments of the Center to host a dynamic mix of 110 world-class retailers, dining and entertainment venues. Completion is slated for first quarter 2008. The Center is situated on more than six acres of prime real estate in Waikīkī and is owned by Kamehameha Schools.
